The Slí methodology

The Living Map

Change does not start with the organisation. It starts with the person, and travels outwards.

Select a ring to read how we work at that scale, or a doorway to see the capability it develops and the offers built on it.

A fuller methodology note — design frameworks, diagnostic dimensions and theoretical references. This is how we compose a programme; it is not what a client has to read first.

Scale of change

The Person

Who am I when I lead?

The innermost ring. Nothing moves in an organisation that has not first moved in the people who run it. We start here even in mandates that are formally about structure or strategy, because a restructure delivered by unchanged people reproduces the culture that made it necessary.

What we do at this scale

  • Executive and manager coaching cycles
  • Presence, voice and authority
  • Self-knowledge, values and blind spots
  • Sustainable pace and burnout prevention

The Blend

Knowledge · Know-how · Know-being

The value of Slí Nua is not a single course or a proprietary theory. It lies in how we combine established knowledge, co-creation, practical production, multilingual facilitation and continued support into one coherent learning experience.

Knowledge

savoir · what is true

Evidence, concepts and frameworks that help participants understand the challenge.

Examples
  • Governance duties and regulatory context
  • Change and organisational theory
  • Evaluation and evidence standards
  • Sector benchmarks and comparative practice

Know-how

savoir-faire · what you can do

Practical tools, rehearsal and applied work that build capability.

Examples
  • Facilitating a contested decision
  • Running a consultation that stands up to scrutiny
  • Structuring and testing a prototype
  • Chairing with clarity and pace

Know-being

savoir-être · who you are while doing it

The judgement, confidence, presence and relational capacity required to act well.

Examples
  • Staying steady when challenged
  • Naming what is happening in the room
  • Holding uncertainty without rushing to close it
  • Recognising your own defensiveness in time

The balance changes according to the need. A technical masterclass may contain more knowledge; a facilitation course requires more practice; a leadership programme may place greater emphasis on judgement, identity and behaviour.

Five commitments in every Slí Nua engagement

  1. 1Context first — the programme begins with the client's actual situation, people and objectives.
  2. 2Co-creation — partners, clients and participants help shape the learning journey.
  3. 3Applied learning — participants use their own cases and produce something useful.
  4. 4Plural knowledge — international evidence is brought into dialogue with local and lived expertise.
  5. 5Follow-through — each engagement ends with a defined next step, support mechanism or pathway.
